FAMILY-STAY
Family-stays are with approved host families who have been working with Maximo Nivel for years. Family-stays include a shared room with a shared bath. Private rooms and bathrooms are also available as an upgrade to your program. In shared rooms, you are grouped with people of the same gender and approximate age. Host families offer comfortable beds, hot showers, and WiFi, although internet service can be slow. Guests are free to come and go as they please, but you should always respect the basic rules of living with a host-family.
Family-stays include breakfast and dinner 7 days/week. Our families are very accustomed to hosting international guests and are happy to cook vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free meals. When registering, please let us know about any dietary restrictions.
All family-stays are within a 10-20 minute walk or 15-25 minute taxi/bus ride from Maximo Nivel. Free WiFi and computer labs are always available at Maximo Nivel.
STUDENT RESIDENCE
Student residences are available in Costa Rica, Peru, and Guatemala on a limited basis. Residences are similar to a family-stay, but offer accommodations with a larger group of participants from 10 to 40 people. Our residence in Guatemala, Peru, and Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica are available for both individuals and groups, while our residences in San Jose, Costa Rica are for groups only. Both private and shared rooms are available as are private and shared bathrooms. Student residences include breakfast and dinner 7 days/week.
PRIVATE APARTMENTS
Private apartments are fully furnished, include WiFi, and are very comfortable. Apartments come with equipped kitchens including plates and utensils required to live comfortably and cook for yourself. Private apartments are a great option for individuals who prefer their privacy and also for couples. Apartments are centrally located and are within easy walking distance or a short taxi/bus ride to Maximo Nivel.
HOSTELS
Hostels are a good option if you want to save money while still remaining 100% independent. All hostels are clean and safe with excellent service and amenities including WiFi and TV rooms. Hostel accommodations can include private rooms with private bath as an upgrade. All hostels are within a 5-15 minute walk from Maximo Nivel.
HOTELS
Maximo Nivel works with several 3-star hotels in each country. Hotel accommodations include private room with private bath, and breakfast. Hotels are a more expensive option, but provide you with the highest comfort and the most privacy. All hotels are within a 5-15 minute walk from Maximo Nivel.
