Why I Maximo Nivel
I cannot say enough about the amazing experience I had in Peru. The care I was shown by Maximo Nivel and the wonderful team was amazing! I was able to see so many breath taking sites and meet so many amazing people. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone! I would love to be able to go back!!
DAY 1: LIMA – NAZCA
Your day begins around 8:00AM with private transportation to Nazca (approx. 6-7 hours). Along the way you pass through different local towns and villages including Asia, Paracas, Ica and Pisco. The tour stops for an authentic Peruvian lunch on the way. Upon arrival to Nazca you check into your hotel where you have free time to eat and explore on your own. (1-Lunch, Hotel in Nazca).
DAY 2: NAZCA
The day begins early with a flight over the legendary and mysterious Nazca Lines. This is a safe, modern 4-6 passenger aircraft with professional pilot and copilot. The flight takes approximately 35-40 minutes.
You then continue to Chauchillas (ancient cemetery), Acueductos, and Paredones to learn about local Nazca history, which dates back to Pre-Incan times. In the afternoon, you enjoy an authentic Peruvian lunch.
In the evening, you can participate in a small, local planetarium visit and star gazing activity. Dinner is on your own. (1-Breakfast, 1-Lunch, Hotel in Nazca).
DAY 3: NAZCA-ICA
Around 7:00AM the tour begins with an interesting visit to Cahuachi and Temple of Stairs (Templo del Escalonado). By mid-morning, the historial part of the tour ends and the itinerary continues to Peru’s famous Tacama Winery to enjoy lunch and wine tasting. In the evening, you return to your hotel and have the night free to relax and have dinner on your own. (1- Breakfast, 1-Lunch, Hotel in Ica).
DAY 4: ICA
Today, you sleep in and enjoy an excellent Peruvian breakfast at your hotel. The tour includes a very special stop at one of Ica’s largest “bodega wineries” where the wine is homemade and visitor’s dip into traditional clay wine pots on a semi-guided tasting tour. You then continue to another well-known Peruvian winery Intipalka where you enjoy an amazing dinner and sunset while wine tasting. (1-Breakfast, 1-Dinner, Hotel in Ica).
DAY 5: ICA – LIMA
At approximately 10:00AM your private transportation leaves Ica to begin the journey back to the capital city of Lima. Along the way, you have the opportunity to stop in Huacachina to visit the beautiful Huacachina Oasis (time permitting). You make a stop along the way to enjoy lunch. Once you arrive in Lima, you have free time to explore and rest; dinner is on your own. (1-Breakfast, 1-Lunch, hotel in Lima).
DAY 6: LIMA
You begin the morning with a guided tour through one of Lima’s traditional open-air markets to learn about Peruvian fruits, vegetables, meats, and spices. Following the market, you take part in a unique 3-hour experience guided by a professional chef, where you and your friends learn to cook Peruvian food while preparing a 3-course lunch. Be sure to bring a bottle (or two) of the wines you bought in Ica!
When the lunch concludes, you are transferred back to your hotel or to the Lima airport. (1-Lunch)
