SPANISH CLASSES

Equipment & Conditions

The following equipment is strongly recommended to maximize your experience as an online learner at Maximo Nivel:

• Desktop or laptop computer or tablet
• Broadband internet connection
• Minimum 5 mb/second download speed
• Zoom, version 5.8 or higher

Maximo Nivel has reliable, commercial-level internet service to provide the best learning experience possible. However, Maximo Nivel does not have control over the quality of your internet connection. Please communicate directly with your Internet Service Provider if you have ongoing connection issues.

Maximo Nivel’s Online Spanish Program is provided using Zoom. You are required to have a functioning Zoom account to participate in classes. You can download Zoom for free here.

Cancellations & No Shows

If you cancel with more than 24 hours notice prior to your scheduled private class, you are credited for that class and you can schedule a makeup class. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you are not credited for that class.

If you are not present for your class within 30 minutes after its scheduled start time, the class is cancelled, and you do not receive a credit.

There are no credits for missed group classes.

Scheduling

Group classes are subject to availability based on demand.

If a 2-hour group class is not available, you’ll automatically be upgraded to a 1-hour private class for the same price.

Spanish Instructors

All Online Spanish instructors are native Spanish speakers, certified to teach Spanish as a second language.

All Maximo Nivel teachers are trained professionals and are responsible for setting the appropriate tone and content in class. If you feel the tone or content of your class is inappropriate, please inform us immediately at international@maximonivel.com. We investigate all complaints and the teacher may be disciplined including suspension or termination.

Teachers strive to arrive on-time for all classes. If your teacher arrives more than 15 minutes late or misses a scheduled class, please inform us immediately at international@maximonivel.com. You are credited for that class, and we investigate every incident to ensure the teacher is available as scheduled in the future.

From time to time, Maximo Nivel may cancel classes in advance. You are notified of the cancellation via email and you receive a credit for that class.

Holiday Schedule

Maximo Nivel Online Spanish classes observe this holiday schedule.
If you have a scheduled class on these days, your class is replaced with a live cultural activity, virtual tour, and/or lecture related to Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Peru and these countries’ local cultures.

Please note, these cultural activities may be offered at a different time of day than your regularly scheduled class. You are notified by email of the alternative holiday class a few days before the activity.

Classes scheduled during the holiday schedule cannot be rescheduled and/or refunded. Credits and refunds are not available if you choose not to take part.

Refunds

Refunds are not available for Maximo Nivel’s Online Spanish Program. Credits may apply based on extenuating circumstances and the rules described above. Any special requests for refunds or credits are evaluated on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of Maximo Nivel.

Feedback & Photos

Maximo Nivel reserves the right to use any feedback, comments, photos, videos, and other recordings captured by Maximo Nivel or provided by the learner. You agree Maximo Nivel may use these recordings in its marketing campaigns without compensation.

Website “as is”

Maximo Nivel’s website exists for the sole purpose of promoting Maximo Nivel’s services. This website is operated by Maximo Nivel from its offices in Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Peru.

Maximo Nivel makes no guarantee or implied warranty that the information and materials contained in this website are error-free. No liability is assumed for errors, omissions, or damages resulting from the use of the information contained herein. The information provided is on an “as is” basis.

Maximo Nivel reserves the right to change these Terms & Conditions or the services it offers from time to time.

Maximo Nivel reserves the right to refuse any application or learner.

Force Majeure

Maximo Nivel assumes no liability or responsibility for any lack of performance or failure of its online Spanish classes when that failure arises from any cause reasonably beyond Maximo Nivel’s control.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions and Maximo Nivel’s programs are governed by the applicable laws of Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Peru.
