ADDITIONAL COSTS

The extra costs you incur as part of your study abroad program include:
– Flights
– Medical insurance
– Daily transportation

– Transfer back to the airport
– Personal spending money
– $100 registration fee & academic credit fee

Expenses vary depending on your personal preferences, choice of accommodation, and how you spend your free time. You should consider snacks, drinks, toiletries, medications, social activities, and emergencies. Please note that host families include breakfast and dinner, but not snacks.

Credit cards are accepted almost everywhere in Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Peru, though small family-run stores and markets may not accept them. ATMs are very accessible in every country.

TRANSPARENCY

Transparency is very important to us at Maximo Nivel. We do not charge fees for credit cards or international wires. Please note, study abroad programs require an additional $100 registration fee and a fee of $165/credit. We do not have any hidden program fees whatsoever.
