EDUCATION PROGRAMS IN PERU
Studying abroad in Peru opens the door to one of the world’s greatest centers of ancient civilization. The country’s amazing history and diverse cultures along with its natural beauty and biodiversity make Peru a center for global learning. Peru shares borders to the north with Ecuador, to the south with Chile and Bolivia, and to the east with Colombia and Brazil. Peru’s people and its climates are very diverse due to the natural variation of its geography, which includes the Pacific coast, the Andes Mountains, and the Amazon Jungle. Peru is a natural choice for students who are studying Anthropology, Business, Education, Hospitality & Tourism, Medicine & Healthcare, and Veterinary & Animal Science, among many others.
Our campus is located right in the historical center of the city, only 3 blocks from Cusco’s Plaza de Armas and right across the street from Q’oricancha—the Temple of the Sun and the most sacred site in the Inca empire! The institute is always teeming with international and local students enjoying the large common areas, WiFi, and onsite snack bar, which means lots of opportunities to practice your Spanish!

Why I Maximo Nivel
The teachers are very professional and well prepared. The staff is very friendly and always available to offer support and answer questions. The school environment is very positive and upbeat. Everyone at the front desk was always friendly and had a smile. Overall it was a great experience. Also the location in Cusco is excellent, very close to many amenities: restaurants, shopping, bars, cafes: you can walk everywhere. I stayed in an apartment which was a good fit for me, but others told me that the home stay program was a good experience. Thank you Maximo Nivel.

You might think you are coming to Cusco just for the culture and history, but with Maximo Nivel’s university Spanish courses you get much more. With our Spanish immersion program, you immediately bring everything you learn straight to the historical streets of this cultural city as you learn Spanish in the land of the llamas, visit Machu Picchu, and tour the Sacred Valley, and do everything else that amazing Peru has to offer.
SERVICE LEARNING
Peru is one of the world’s richest countries in terms of natural resources. However, its social development has not kept pace with its commercial development, and Peruvians still wrestle with illiteracy and basic social justice. Peru is a safe country, but visitors are often taken aback by the tremendous differences in socioeconomic levels and lack of access to education and healthcare.
Peru works hard at self-improvement, making it an ideal place for international students to get involved in service learning programs and learn first hand about a myriad of social issues, and important concepts like justice, responsibility, and sustainability.
